Fall 2020 Wardrobe Essentials

Fall is my favorite time to experiment with fashion trends, and there are so many stylish pieces I can’t wait to wear this fall! I gathered all my favorite comfy pieces that are easy to style for the upcoming fall season. Although the weather in California still feels like summer, when fall rolls around I know my closet (and yours after you read this blog) will be ready for the cooler fall and winter months!

Tops + Sweaters

My go-to comfortable and easy to style fall essential is a fitted sweater. What I love most about these Target V-neck tops are how they fit snug like a regular long sleeve tee, but are as soft as a sweater. I’m also a fan of a good deal, and these sweaters are inexpensive but feel like such high quality. If you live in a place where winter isn’t too bad, I couldn’t recommend these tops enough! One of my all time favorite brands for sweaters and fall items is One Grey Day. Although most of their pieces are a bit of a splurge, the material is ridiculously soft, comfortable, and high-quality. I snagged this beautiful grey cutout top last fall season and wore it constantly! Cashmere pieces are a splurge you won’t regret; the Abercrombie cashmere sweaters and jackets are fantastic! Although they don’t sell the zip-up jacket I have, there are many hoodies and sweaters that are extremely similar.

Jackets

A staple piece in your wardrobe should be a light fall jacket. Fall is the time of flesh tones like burnt orange and cream/beige, and a jacket with these fall colors will add some flare to any outfit. My go-to jacket this fall season is the Thread and Supply Amsterdam Jacket. The material is super soft and this jacket can be styled with anything! Whether you choose to style it with a dress or with a classic top and jeans, you can’t go wrong with a jacket like this! For colder weather, my Moto Jacket has saved me from the cold and keeps me stylish too! This style jacket is timeless and is very flattering… this jacket will always be a closet staple! (P.S. The wool blend moto-jacket is the same style, just a different color!)

Pants

One or two fantastic pairs of jeans will get you through this fall season: quality over quantity when it comes to jeans (and pants in general)! Bootcut jeans is a fall favorite: they are flattering, comfortable, and look cute with every shoe! I highly recommend trying out a pair to style this fall, I have a black and white and find that they are easy jeans to style. A pair of skinny jeans is also a closet staple, and the High Rise Skinny Jean has so much personality and style with the distressing and light wash! A pair of plaid pants is a fun way to add some subtle spice to your outfit. My plaid pants from Hollister are high waisted with a bit of flare at the bottom, and the material is medium thickness. Urban Outfitters has a wide variety of plaid pants, and this pair with blue detailing has a similar fit and style to Hollister plaid pants.

Although fall fashion may look different in 2020 without as many events to attend, you can’t go wrong with fall staples to add to your wardrobe! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and found some new pieces to shop for!
