Subscription boxes have really spiced up my quarantine! Subscription boxes like FabFitFun and the Allure Beauty Box are a fun way to learn about new products and companies, while Fabletics is a great way to try out new workout clothes on a budget. In addition to my last subscription box review blog, I tried out some well known subscription box services and gave my honest opinion on which box is worth your money.
FabFitFun
The most epic subscription box… FabFitFun. This seasonal box included so many unique (and expensive) products for $49.99 a box. This box really concentrated on general self care, including body wash, epsom salt wash, sunglasses, body lotion, rose gold face highlighter, facial moisturizer, and a few makeup cleaning products. If you feel like you want to give yourself a self care day, every one of these products will make you feel refreshed and give you a summer glow. When signing up for this subscription box, you answer a few questions regarding your product preferences, and that makes a difference with this box because I feel like I will actually use every product that was sent to me. The sunglasses were such a fun addition that tied in the summer feel of the box. The packaging was super cute (the box is pretty iconic too) and it protected all the products well. The FabFitFun subscription plan is great because instead of getting 1 box a month, which can be overwhelming with the amount of products you receive, you only receive a box a season, so 4 boxes a year for FabFitFun. Not only does the package feel more special when you receive it once a season, it is also easier on the budget. Overall, I really enjoyed receiving the FabFitFun box and I would recommend treating yourself to one every season, if the budget allows!
Fabletics (VIP Member)
The trendy athletic wear is known for its VIP Member deal of 2 items for $24 ~ extremely inexpensive compared to other athletic wear brands such as Lululemon or Athleta. After making a Fabletics account, you take a very short and general quiz about the activities or workouts you enjoy, so Fabletics can recommend items based on your interests. Overall, I had a great experience with ordering from Fabletics; their website was easy to use and I got my items very quickly. Something to mention about Fabletics is how many of the products were sold out in most sizes; a first come first serve situation. I noticed that they have many clothing options to choose from, but a lot of the pieces were sold out in every size or most sizes, so that narrowed my options right away. The Irene Skort (golf/tennis skort) is my new favorite skirt to wear for golf – the pockets are a great bonus, the color is vibrant and flattering, the extra pleat in the back of the skirt adds such a cute touch, and the quality is great! The skirt wrinkles very easily and length was a bit on the shorter side for a golf skirt, but I would still wear it as a golf skirt and recommend it for other sports or athleisure as well. In addition to the skirt, I purchased the Mila High-Waisted Capri leggings, since Fabletics is known for their outstanding leggings. I was very impressed with the quality of the leggings; the material was very thick and the leggings reminded me of my favorite Athleta leggings. The mesh detail adds a stylish touch, and I love the pockets. The skirt and the leggings I chose run true to size, so no need to size up or down when purchasing from Fabletics! If you are looking for some new workout clothes at a great price, I would definitely give Fabletics a try!
Allure Beauty Box
I had never heard of the Allure Beauty box before, but when I heard their beauty boxes are $14.99 a month, I was intrigued and wanted to give it a try! The packaging was very cute and kept the products intact, and the box came very soon after I ordered it. In my package, I received an eye mask, full-size cleanser, full-size lip gloss, nail stickers, a face mask, and a mini moisturizer. For $15 a month, I was extremely impressed with how many products I received, the quality of each product, and the many (full sized) items it included. I have been trying out the products for about a week, and my sensitive skin has not reacted negatively to any of these products. If you are choosing between trying out the Ipsy Glam Bag mentioned in my previous blog or this Beauty Box, I think it depends on what you are more interested in. The Ispy Glam Bag has more makeup products while the Allure Beauty Box is more skincare oriented. Overall, I was very impressed with the Allure Beauty Box because of the full size products, and would recommend this box to any skincare lover!
