A big workout motivator for me is feeing good in my workout clothes. With 2020 New Year’s Resolutions in full swing, I wanted to share my favorite athletic clothes for the ultimate stylish workout.
Tops & Bras
A black or white workout top is a closet staple. Unfortunately, they don’t sell my favorite white top from Target anymore, but I found a similar one from Lululemon. SoulCycle also has the greatest workout tops because of the breathable fabric and stylish fit. Every girl needs a supportive bra in their wardrobe. Although a bit of a splurge, the Free To Be (Wild) Bra from Lululemon is worth every penny. I love to wear this with a white see-through top to show off the straps in the back. For a more affordable bra, my go to is the JoyLab black bra. It is just as supportive as the Lululemon bra for half the price. A longline sports bra from Zella would be a trendy and nice addition to your closet to pair with high waisted leggings for your next pilates, yoga, or spin class.
Leggings & Shorts
I’m a huge athletic leggings fan, and I think I’ve found my all time favorite pair! The All In Capri leggings from Athleta are perfect because they can go from gym to street easily. Let me tell you about the Aerie Play Pocket High Waisted leggings… the softest, most comfortable, and most affordable leggings I own. The pockets are the perfect size and the quality of the leggings is top notch. I’ve also heard great things about the Zella Live in High Waist leggings, and those will definitely be my next legging purchase! If you’re looking for a good pair of workout shorts, I would recommend the Speed Up Short (Long 4″). The length is ideal for working out and the fit is simply the best!
Jackets
I live in California where it’s mostly summer weather, so buying a thin workout jacket was a great purchase. The grey Adidas quarter zip is a light pullover, perfect to throw on after a good sweat. Lululemon’s Cross Chill Jacket is the ultimate pre or post workout jacket that has a ton of pockets, thumbholes, the waterproof feature, and the sporty look. Although expensive, the quality is the best of the best and it can be paired with absolutely anything (workout fits or street wear).
